| Does She or Doesn't She? Cotton or Silky? Another newbie wanting to know…what do you think? Will my baby will be cotton or silk or a mix? I posted some new photos of Lola. I'll try to attach them here but if I can't figure it out...the pics are in the YT photo gallery. Lola is just about 5 months old now. Her head and face are mostly silver/golden with a touch of black growing out…more silky. Her coat is short and thin. The back of her neck and body has about a half inch growth of silver. The new silver strands are indeed silky but they are intertwined with her puppy cottony strands. Lola never looked like most of the other Yorkie babies with their beautiful, fluffy coats. Just wondering what the experts will say. I appreciate all comments! BTW, on 4 Dec she weighed in at 5.5 pounds! Big Girl Lola! Thank you! Tammie |

| How is her hair when you put a brush through it does it goe through smooth or does it get caught in tangles. If it goes through smooth it is a silk coat. If it catches matts it is a cotton coat. Sometimes a cotton coat will be wavy also.

| No tangles, no matts. A comb just glides through. |

| Shes got a silk coat. I have two dogs one with each type of coat and you can tell the difference easily.

| Wow she is really tall. She is so cute. JMO but she looks silky or maybe modified cotton. I'm sure an expert will come on here and help! |

| I'm no expert but I think my libby will be silky too. she has no fluff or wave at all. her hair is thin and straight. Her picture is in the photo gallery if you want to take a look.if you do let me know if that's what lola looked like at 8 weeks. I guess we'll just have to get them some BIG HAIR products so we can get some fluff . lol |

| I am pretty sure she has a silk coat. Also her eyes are green in the first pic Which means a Silky coat. |
