| We have mocking birds here that will dive bomb anyone and anything. They are so mean! And they can do various bird calls. Back in June, I did see a blue jay chase an owl out of a tree, screaming at it...all the way down the road. I love the mocking bird and the blue jay! They help keep the hawks and owls at bay

| Those Jays are not my best friends either. When I leave food out for the feral cats Jays will eat the food! They also eat other bird's eggs and steal their nests. They are the bullies of the bird world. It must have been so scary to hear that sound and think the big one was coming after your babies. I once had a crow that hung around for a while and he did the best imitation of a turkey you ever heard! It was always funny to hear him up there gobbling away. So glad it was a false alarm for you. |

| Oh my gosh! I am so glad it was just a Bluejay and not a bad Hawk! So your pups think you are a little crazy now, huh? The first of many crazy mom episodes!

| Instead of fire drills we are practicing Hawk Drills ! Good job and stay alert. Bluejays can be mean. There was no sound in our hawk experience, so warning there.

| Haha, the Bluejay fooled you! I like the obnoxious jays and Mockingbirds because they do have the nerve to chase hawks. I'm glad your experience ended in laughs and giggles.
