| The sad fact is the Waggin Train, Canyon Creek, and Milo's kitchen have never been recalled.

| Always remember that the pet food (and treat) industry is considered to be "self regulating." We cannot depend on the government to watch what they are doing or even do an in depth investigation. American companies tend to cooperate more with standards if they can be shamed into it by publicity about their products. China could care less. They have their very American looking marketing strategies that we are accustomed to seeing and they really don't care if they hurt your pet. I don't know what is in the China made sweet potato treats but I took one look at them and thought they looked more like plastic than food. I will not buy any treats or foods from department stores or pet stores. The majority of their products are from China or companies that do not mind using poor quality ingredients in order to make some money off the pet loving population. I make sweet potato treats for Gracie and I know what a natural sweet potato treat should look like and those things in the stores are not even close. |

| So true. They tend to cooperate. I think the larger the company the less they care about the welfare of the pets they make products for. It's all about the bottom line. They have stockholders to answer to. I don't think it has been very publicly noted just what company produces these things. They don't advertise it on the bag to make it notable. |
