Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Harley has a black sprig of hair on each side of his face that I think is adorable. I was wondering if they would likely stay darker than the rest. It's black on the ends but that golden brown closer to the roots. I think you can see it in the picture. Also his black hair is silvery near the roots. Will it eventually be all be the silvery color? I know they don't stay black but I don't know exactly how or when the color changes take place.

My furkids Donating Member | ![]() I have 3 yorkies. Sadie, our first, stayed black and gold. Lillie, our second girl, turned silver and tan. Bentley, our new little guy...only a year old....has a very light tan silvery head and his body is very ashy looking. I am ASSUMING he will turn silver. His mom and Dad are silver...not sure though...he is still changing

| ![]() If his hair is black on the ends and golden at the roots then I would guess that those hairs are in the process of changing to gold right now.
