| Describe your Yorkie's Walk My boys have various walking and running styles depending on what they are doing, but their normal walking mode at home is so funny: Max struts around like a lion king. Teddy bounces with each step, wiggling his butt and wagging his tail. How does your Yorkie walk?

| I was noticing this just last night. I took him for a walk in the park and he was walking with a quick little gait, tail wagging...just like he was in a dog show. Cute! His run however, is like a bunny rabbit!

| Seems like Maxximus kinda trots along with quick steps. Then when he runs it's a rabbit bounce. LOL. It was dark and I let him run around and my neighbor jumped up off her porch and said 'Girl, I thought that was a rat that ran across there til I heard you say PUUUUPPPY'

| Lexi kind of trots quickly, but then sometimes there comes this little skip with her back legs. She does it both with her right and left. Really cute stuff. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Becca has a rather normal walk, relaxed, smooth. Sneakers hind legs seem rather stiff, ie: he doesn't pick his paws up very high, and seems to get the distance by rolling his hips back and forth. It looks sorta looks like a "cocky" butt twist (sorta arrogant). Both my guys can trot almost as fast as I can run. They can really pick um up and put um down. And their bodies seem fixed on a horizontal plane, like they were on rails, just gliding along. Sneakers is faster (he's bigger) than Becca when Running, but, both are very fast runners. I think this is a "practice" thing, since I take them hunting almost daily, and they have to really move to catch anything. One other area of movement is when they "stalk" prey. Both have a very cat like stalk, crouched, smooth, bodies fixed as they creep forward. This activity is what caused me to select "Sneakers" name.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wylie walks like he doesn't have knees, but very light on his feet. It's just a happy little walk. Marcel walks like he is on wheels! The day we brought him home, we swore he had little wheels on - he just glides along, his little legs moving super fast. He looks like a little show dog gliding along in the ring; he comes from a show line so we always wondered if he just inherited this type of walk, lol. Pfeiffer either sashays like she is ALL THAT or is hoppy/bouncy like a bunny.

| Brody has a very bouncy, all over the place type of walk (90% of the time his tongue is out and flailing around!). He doesn't really know how to properly run either, he just bunny hops! Sophia has a very serious and cautious walk, carefully taking each step.
