Yorkie Yakker | Really appreciate this forum I justwanted to let everyone on here know, thanks for all being great people! We are I think so fortunate to have the kind and caring people on here, who don't dictate, bully, and criticize especially people who have mixed dogs. Some dogs forums, one very well known one in particular, well you would not believe how they treat people who go against their almost cult like grain in anyway. You have a mixed breed-especially if it isn't a rescue, you will get criticized, put down, ect. You don't buy this brand of food, and only this brand, you are considered to not be a good owner who cares about your pet (Im even talking if you get a high quality brand of food, that still isn't the one of the two they will accept. And if you were say a kid, 15 or 16 they would still not cut you some slack - i thonestly makes me wonder how they treat their children, or if this is just their "internet persona". Honestly, you would not believe how uppity some of them are. This is the first forum, out of say 8 popular dog forums in the last 6 years I have been on them, where every one is genuinely really pleasent and excepting.

| I fully agree. There are always going to be bad apples at the end of an orchard-picking day but for the most part all the apples at YT are sweet and delicious. Most of the members at YT are here for the dogs - not to serve their own purpose; I think that is what makes this board different than "the others". |

Yorkie Yakker | Oh yes of course, there is always going to be people who aren't doing the right thing for their dog and should get a lecture, or some sort of debate of opinions im sure can get heated. But what I said about those other sites, I am not exaggerating about how they act and what they are like at all, that is the sad part. I haven't been on them since I was a teen, who was obsessed with my dog,and just truly wanted the best for him, only to be told he was below their dog, because he wasn't purebred, and got bullied by them, even though even at that time I knew puppy mills, petstores, ect were bad places to get a dog,and my dog was never from there.I don't know just some of those sites were ridiculous, I'm sure others here have had similar experiences

| I've heard most public forums are pretty tough but YT is really nice. Lots of good info, fun and stories and the occasional flare-up but I think those here love all doggies - purebred or whatever.

| I have met several "perfect" people in my lifetime. It sounds like they are all at the other forum. |

yea i know and the worst part is, if you are truly trying to help the dog, calling out the owner like a tyrant and bullying them is just going to make them upset, and leave or act defensive, getting nothing accomplished anyways...

| I agree. Thank you for your post it is well needed to add perspective. I had a similar experience with my mini schnauzer forum, amazing to see the general tone there, hiw mods there side based on their personal opinions and comparatively YT is quite fair, here the rules are the guideline that dictates resolutions.
