| another colour change question hi i was wondering something. tilly had 5 puppies a week ago. all healthy and developing well. she is standard colours and the stud was blonde. none of the pups came out blonde so at the moment they are standard colours. i was just wondering if blonde pups start out black and tan and change later or if they start out blonde. i know there is a dramatic colour change as tilly started out black and tan and slowly turned sillver. |

| I don't really know much about golden yorkies, but from my understanding they are born golden.

| Congratulations on the puppies!!! From all the baby Yorkies I have seen born they all have been black & tan. From my understanding they are born black & tan and change colors as they grow and get older.. Except for Chocolates and Parti's.. Chocolates are born the brownish red color and parti's are born black/brown and white..

| Congratulations on the puppies! Mia is golden,. I got her when she was 17 months old...her previous owner told me she was black and tan. She lost all the black, which has now been mostly trimmed off the ends of her hair. In bright light, you can still see some black but her overall look is blond/golden.
