| Yorkie Puppy How old should your puppy be before you put it up for sale. I have heard since the puppys are small you should wait till they are older. I have a 5 week old Yorkie maltese mixed puppy that will need a home soon. Thanks |

| They should stay with mom until 12 weeks and if they are very tiny probably a little longer.

| I say at least 12 weeks. I also agree that if they are smaller even longer. We brought Georgie home at 10 weeks and he weighed 1lb. Looking back now I know that if he didn't have us to be there with him throughout the day it wouldn't have been good. I would never bring another Yorkie home at 10 weeks and if they were his size I would hope the breeder would insist on at least 15-18 weeks.
