| Oh good grief! Turn the puppy mills in...donate the money to the Rescue Organizations. IMHO...lol I thought the Humane Society was hurting for cash...where does the "$5,000 REWARD" come from?

| I beleive they give rhe reward after the pup mill is lefally prosecuted and part of the money comes from a private fund, I think its a bit extreme too but maybe its so high to entise workers who would give photo evidence to aid in the prosecutions of the individuals responsible, these people would essentially be putting their employers out if business and loosing their jobs.

| Best info comes from inside scoops. It is also quite likely that this is a good bit of WHY they continue to operate and/or spring up a new one to replace the old one...but somewhere else. I've even wondered if there was some 'back end' organization that some of the bigger mills were 'fronts' to...just wondering...lol

| There was an AsPCA pup mill bust I watched on animal cops houston and a barn was used there were three rented trailors to families on the "farm" none of the people living there reported it, someone visiting one of the "neighbors" did. I'd vet money pup mills pay to keep things hush hush in a lot of places too. Although it is a shame we as a society have to pay people to do the right thing.

| I am guessing they may pay some for silence. Plus, a lot of these mills are in economically depressed areas, and people have learned that living indoors and eating regular meals is kinda nice...so they'd never slice off their foot for 'principle' like they 'morally' probably should.

| I have read that some of them are quite portable. If they get any information that they have been found out they just move on to some more rented land and set up shop again. However, in states that no regulation at all they just do their dirty work without any worry at all. Maybe some of them do have ties to a bigger business. These chain puppy "boutiques" are run by someone and they have to have a steady supplier. Since so many puppies die in these mills or on the way to market they need a lot of animals to keep pumping out the babies. |
