| Not so patiently waiting... After the fiasco last week with the "breeder" that we'd been dealing with, I'm now anxious to have another yorkie baby in this house. We decided that we would wait until next year, possibly even SPRING (don't even ask me how I'm going to do that, I don't know..), but I'm already getting discouraged. See, I've still been looking. I've looked for local breeders, I've even called shelters. I've checked out petfinder.com and all of that. I'm really wanting to find a breeder though, something inside of me is telling me there's a puppy just born or a puppy about to be born that is our new addition. That probably sounds silly, but it's how I feel. We're really looking for a little girl, but a boy would be just fine. I think I'm mainly posting just to hear people's stories. How long did it take you to find a breeder? What was the process? I've done the research and I've searched through posts here, but I'm just interested in hearing other people's accounts and maybe have people tell me, "don't give up, it's meant to be, etc". Because right now? I'm just ready to give love to a new baby. We did decide on a girl's name that I'm just SO in love with. I think I told you all that we would call the girl Bella....but her full name is going to be Isabella Rose. I'M READY!

| I've been there..... this year actually... I'm sorry you have to wait. I had the same scenario with Gizmo... I had a toy poodle named "Isabella" and she died as a pup so I was so sad and boy did I cry...hubby was so worried about me he offered to buy me any other type of pup I could want. I was very very depressed, would not eat, sleep and did not want to talk to anyone.... anyhow ended up waiting a total of 8 months until we got Gizmo.... We got other dogs, mini schnauzer, cocker spaniel... a cat.... he thought it might be easier to get a medium size dog, but that is just not me.. I love all of my fur-kids but Gizmo just has my heart..... when I saw him I just KNEW...... now I am getting a baby girl sista for him" Madeline Rain" in about 2 weeks. so I am excited.... I hope you find your baby soon... just remember to be patient and always remind yourself that god does things for a reason...... good luck! |
