| Heartbroken AGAIN! Why does this keep happening. If you guys remember, when I came here I was waiting on my girl Foxxy Cleopatra to be old enough to come home but on my way to get her, during her first bath she had a heart episode and the vet lost her. I went an saw her little body and agreed to take the male that was left. Ok, same breeder, different parents and I emailed yesterday to see if I could come see her. I woke up to and just checked and had a PLEASE CALL ME email. My heart stopped. I thought maybe she just wants me to take her early. I called and she said Bijoux was sick on Saturday. She said she had leave town that night and got back last night and she still wasn't herself. She said she gave her some medicine but when she got up this morning, Bijoux had died. She said that all 4 other puppies are fine and that she has only lost my two that way in years. She has offered for me to drive over and see her body, same as with Foxxy, so I know she didn't just sell her. She only has the male left now and I am just heartbroken. She won't have any litters anytime soon and I just can't make any decisions now. Just so sad

| Oh I am so sorry, I think it would make me so sad to go see her though. a new breeder might be something to consider, do you know what kind of medication she was giving? and how is it that she had it on hand? I know nothing about breeders do they keep meds on hand? and how would they know what kind to give? (just questions because I dont know anything about breeders) Again so so sorry

| Thank you, BabyGirl. I don't know what I'm going to do. I trust this breeder and I have talked to others before YT and now know they weren't the right choices. So either I bring home another little man or just wait. I'm going to do nothing right now because I'm all emotions right now. Thanks for your prayers.

| So sorry for your loss. Please think about another breeder, it just seems like you are not ment to have one of her puppies.

| Charlie's Mama, I was so shocked I didn't think to ask her what medicine and why she would think to try it but my skin mama brain was on and I was thinking like we do Tylenol when we think they just don't feel well. When I go for my deposit I will ask her. I don't know nearly as much as I should about breeders but I trust her. She went thru the full year with me when I had Choppa and I didn't see any red flags but I will be sure to ask her when I go. I was also thinking about that flea market and people handling all those dogs and wondered if someone may have brought something in. All other litter mates are fine as of now. She was 9 weeks tomorrow. Everything for a reason. Imagine if I had taken her at 8 weeks or earlier!

| Hi, Teresa. It does seem I'm not meant to have one of her girls for sure. But with Choppa being so healthy, happy and well adjusted its hard to trust trying to weed through breeders. I just think I will sleep on this.

| Well that is certainly possible, did she have them at the flea market so she could watch them, or is that where she was selling them? There are all kinds of possibilities if they were at a flea market, people germs chemical germs, kids handling them to rough... I am just so sad for you.

| I'm not saying this breeder is a bad person, or a bad breeder-I don't know her so I am not qualified to comment. I do think it would be a bad idea to bring home one of her puppies, especially from that litter. Have you given any thought to adopting? |

| I found two girls at rescues when I was looking. Neither worked out and I was heart broke. Then Mikki fell into my lap. She was meant to be mine. Your girl is out there. And she will be the one that was meant to be yours. Hugs.

| No, I would never buy from the flea market. We were just on an outing and I like to look. The puppies don't leave her home until they go to a new home but I was thinking that it is possible to have been handling a dog then see hers and handle it. My mind is grasping right now. I had made a post about what I saw while at the flea market then immediately remembered I wanted to go see Bijoux and I had handled this other dog and sanitized my hands. I'm glad you asked me that.

| Ancora, no. I never thought about adopting because I hadn't really been in a position to have to seek other options. It hadn't crossed my mind but I Definately would adopt. Thanks for mentioning that. This just happened this morning so I'm kinda still thinking about. I will more than likely not do anything right now so I don't do anything rash.

| Does she have a different set of breeding dogs that you could choose from? It might be that the particular pair have an unkown health issue thats being passed along........... Im grasping too, just trying to think of everything

| I'm so sorry that is terrible. Did she do testing on the parents before breeding them? Was it a heart problem with the second one to?
