| New Baby in town! I am new to YorkiTalk. I wanted to announce to everyone, that I just became a new "Mama" of a male Yorkie pup. named Toby. I will be getting him on August 25th, 2012. We cannot thank the breeder (Lori Leskiw) enough for being so patient with me through this transition, answering all of my questions and sending me many, many pictures of her pups. My daughters friend ( Kim Ballinger) brought her Yorkie to our home for us to see ( Her pup is also from Lori) What a beautiful, healthy, frisky Yorkie. You can tell how much she loves her Yorkies.. We made up our mind immediately. I want to thank Lori and Kim for all of the information and patience that they both gave us, regarding Yorkies. flutterpan Last edited by flutterpan; 07-21-2012 at 12:53 PM. | WELCOME How old will Toby be when you get him on aug 25th? If she is a really good breeder he should be at least 12 weeks when she lets him go home with you. YT is a great place. I cannot tell you how much I have learned from all of these knowledgable folks. Read all you can before he comes home. We love pictures if the breeder will let you take a picture to share.

| Welcome to YT!! I always recommend two really great books for anyone getting a Yorkie..."Yorkies for Dummies" and "Yorkshire Terrier: A Smart Owners Guide"...these are two very thorough books that will be a continual source of reference for you during your life with your baby! |

| Hi Doris! Yay! You made it onto the boards! Ok- Lets see if I can help everyone figure this out. I got my Mia (Patience) from Lori (maggiesmom_2007). Mia is the sister/littermate to Peppermint, from Dexter's Ruff Life (dexterandalana). Lori's girl, named Friday, had another litter of 4 on Mother's Day. This will be her last. Lori is keeping two pups back to show (Hank and Johnny). The girl, Reba (now Allie) is going home with me, and the other boy (Jake, now Toby) is going home with the OP, Doris (flutterpan), who is a new member here at YT. So her new baby Toby, Mia, Allie, Peppermint, Hank and Johnny are all siblings. It will be so much fun to watch them all grow up together here on Yorkie Talk. Welcome, Doris! I'm so glad you are here.

I have to say Kim you did pretty good with sorting it all out. But I have a little something to add. Hank and Johnny are staying here to see if they make the show prospect status. If they both make it then Hank will be going to a show home with a good friend whose name is also Kim and she currently shows Brussels Griffons. But has been having a major jones to show a Yorkie since she first saw Mia who was Patience in the show ring. Since then she has been coming over for Yorkie lessons 101 at my house. Next weekend she will be coming over to see how Hank does with her.

YT 1000 Club Member | Oh I almost forgot. Abbie and Olivia are 1/2 sibs to Peppermint and Mia as they have the same Sire (Spencer). and Toby, Allie, Hank and Johnny are their Nephews and Niece, because their sire is the 1/2 brother to Spencer

| Uh Oh, I was doing ok until I got to this one. So Abbie and Olivia are Mia's sisters, but Allie's aunts, but Allie and Mia are (half) sisters. Now THAT sounds like a soap opera! This really is As The Yorkie World Turns. Poor Doris will be so confused!
