| Wow after reading this...i think i would have a hard time getting one..I'm 20years old..live with my boyfriend in a one bedroom apt., we both go to school and work.. However, i made sure that our school and work schedules were completely different so that someone would be home with the dogs.. or if not they are not home alone too long..So for someone to just look at my basics would be stupid..i love my dogs more than my boyfriend and they are both spoiled rotten..I understand that breeders want them to go to good homes but just because someone lives in an apartment and works..doesn't mean they wouldn't be a great mommy to a lil pup!

You missed the point- what do you say-" you made a point to make sure your schedules are different". The point is that each adoption is unique. Each puppy is unique and may have his/her own special needs. Breeder and new ownwer have the right to ask questions and expect a lot from each other. If you want a particular puppy contact the breeder- interview each other- there is the right breeder and puppy out there for you. It will require effort on your part and that of the breeder to make the right match. For some the match is you have a puppy for sale and I want it. End of story. Others will look to the care the puppy has been given-pedigree-physical condition and health warranty etc. You have to be willing to look for what you are wanting. | |

| I haven't read this whole thread. But I just had to say. A few years ago we had a serial rapist on the loose in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I had a litter of FIVE little boy Yorkies. I place every single one of them with young women who lived in the Baton Rouge area. Some lived in homes and some lived in apartments. They all wanted a small dog to be an alarm, ring out a warning if needed. And a couple of years ago I place a sister and brother Yorkie with college student sisters in San Antonio TX. All of these Yorkies have very happy lives today. Each one is cherished. So NO I do not sterotype an individual. It all depends on the person who wants to be a pet owner. |

I am definitely glad to hear that!!!! Yorkies are so affectionate and very protective. I think it was a great idea that you placed your pups to these single women in need! I am also glad that all yorkies are happy!! Thanks for sharing!
