Senior Yorkie Talker | Grooming Advice? Hey y'all, well I just groomed Jaxson for the very first time & he looks a tad bit silly but overall not so bad. I just had a question for you all who groom your yorkies/pets how do you trim the face/head? I used scissors for his face today but just wanted to know... stupid question maybe but what about his "whiskers"? Does it hurt to cut them I didn't touch them today cause I was scared to hurt him lol but he has a baby face & want to try to keep the teddy bear look so any tips or advice i'd love to hear it! Thanks in advance!! |

| I use scissors and thinning shears on faces. I wouldn't recommend cutting the whiskers. I did it once and hated it. They start growing back and are like thorns when they get about and inch long!! I would love to see pics of your baby freshly groomed

| I use scissors to cut the face, beard and to trim the ears. It does not hurt! Good luck!

| Gosh, your baby looks so much like my little Emy, is he a chewing terror like mine? When she's awake she's chewing constantly!! I haven't given mine a bath yet, I know it will be a fight, I do wipe her down everyday with wet grooming wipes along with her butt after each poop. She's funny cause after she poops outside on leash and we go in house, she runs from me cause she sees I have the wipe in my hand, then she just plops down wagging her tail with her back legs straight out behind her and waits for her butt wiping.....she's hilarious....tiring, but hilarious..Mine was born on March 23, 2012, growing everyday seems like and her fur changing everyday also, she is getting silver on her head and it looks like she's bald when its really the silver growing out..LOL |
