Snaps or Buckles?

Good morning everyone!

Now, Harry's got a bit of a 'thing' about collars - he absolutely loves them Actually, he doesn't really, but I DO - and it's the only bling I can get him to wear....

Obviously he wears a harness to go walking - but my question to those of you that use collars for tags - do you prefer the 'snap' collars or the 'buckle' collars?

I've got quite a few of each - but Harry Boy hates me fiddling about with buckles, and I quite often find the 'snap' one's - well, quite hard to 'unsnap'.

So, which do you use/prefer - and any extra-specially gorgeous ones for us all to have a look at?! Sally + Harry x

I use the buckles ~ and since I don't have a "thing" for collars, but rather harnesses, We only have a couple each

I like the buckles! the snaps seem to be way too easy to snap out, if the dog pulls it, or maybe thats just my chihuahua who does that! lol

I like the snaps they are lighter and easy to take off in an emergency.

I much prefer buckles. I like the classic look.

To me, snaps look like the cheap plastic they. And, they are dangerous in my hands...I'm likely to snap hair or skin in there. But many things only come with snaps so I don't have a choice ... like life jackets!

When you say buckles I am picturing the type that requires the end of the collar be threaded through the buckle and that has holes for the buckle post. If that is the type you mean then I have a suggestion other than the snap style. There are many collars with a parachute clip closure. These are the type that I have bought and that I now make for Chloe. So not sure if this helps but thought I'd mention it just in case

I know what you mean - it's just that I personally just find the snaps easier...

The ones that kind of incorporate both are the 'Envy' ones on www.petsdirect.co.uk - the plastic snappy bit slots into a heavy metal kind of flat buckle Sally + Harry x

I use the buckle kind for Joels tags, I think it looks more spiffy than the clip kind
I could fiddle with it forever and Joel doesnt care how long I take hehe

To make snaps easier to release,put a small amount of WD-40 on the "male" side of the snap. It will make the release a bit easier.
