| Fireworks I had such a fun day with my Freddie! He is almost 8 mos. old little yorkie. We live on a lake and he loves to go on the boat. It was terribly hot out yesterday, and usually we leave him at home when its so hot. However, yesterday he gave me that look of please don't leave me and of course, I took him. We stayed in the water alot of the time and he loved it!!!! He wore his dew rag hat (lol) and his life jacket and was so content and stayed cool all day. They do a huge fireworks display on our lake, Freddie never seems afraid during storms so he stayed with us for that also. Everyone was concerned he would "freak" out. But once the fireworks began, he was just like a little kid! He watched them, looking up at me, than again at the beautiful sky. He didn't even shake. He absolutely loved it! I need to figure out how to get his pic on here from my phone! I'll post soon. Did anyone else have fun watching the fireworks? |

| Our fireworks were Friday and Saturday nights but some here in the neighborhood set them off with a loud bang last night. Glad to say that Tibbe was irate & not scared when he heard the booms & bangs!

| we also live on a lake and had fireworks on Sat, we also had a lot of private fireworks first, at the beginning. Lola sat on our engine cover, (we have ski boat) and looked up at each one sort of in wonder, than when the main show started she got just a wee bit nervous and I held her, but then she got better as the night went on. We have a small foam type matt for Lola and when we raft she has her own, I put a hole in and attach it to mine, she also will do a superman dive off the dock if we throw her toy in, she is the first dog we have ever had that seems to love the water. We almost always take her and just keep wetting her down so she does not get to hot.

YT 2000 Club Member | Our little ones went with us to watch the fireworks. Both of them sat quietly on my lap and enjoyed the display. I was so relieved that they weren't frightened of the noise.

| That's sooo awesome! As "rock solid" as Jackson usually is, fireworks are his weakness. He HATES them (and gunshots). Stresses him out! You are very lucky. Sounds like a good time.

| I know! I was kinda worried that Freddie would freak out, but he absolutely loved them. He honestly was like a little kid! He just kept looking up at the sky moving his head to watch them (lol). Then he'd look up at me and give me a kiss! This is the first yorkie I have ever had, he was a rescue. I am absolutely in love with him (and the breed)!!!! I'm sorry Jackson doesn't like them . I'm so glad I found YT, you all have helped me so much! Have a great weekend! |

| Most of our dogs have no problem with the fireworks. Our baby shih tzu Basil was a little bit afraid but not too bad. He just barked all night. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Glad (and jealous!) to see so many of you had good luck with fireworks. Eddie struggled, as usual. We were camping in an area where they had a large 20-minute display and then people were popping them off intermittently after that. He was a mess. We had his Thundershirt on and that seemed to help, but he gets pretty worked up and doesn't know where to go. I think next time I might try crating him and see if he likes that better. Jillie doesn't give a hoot about fireworks, so at least we had 50 percent success.
