| Update on Benji I've had several message me so I decided I better update everyone in my little man - one of my IGs, Hannah, developer IMHA and ITP, so I've been so busy caring for her whole we battle that I've not had much free time! Benji is doing great - no more episodes or any explanation why, but I'm happy as long as he stays healthy! All the hair hss grown back beautifully on his ears, his coat is much silkier and shinier then when I first rescued him, he's the picture of health! I only have one concern - his front right foot has a dark scabb area I just can't get to go away. My vet has had me try hydrocortisone shampoos and lotions, medicated baths, topical anti-fungal and antibiotic ointments, nothing works! The skin there is thickened and raw looking. But I never see him licking at it, and it doesn't seem to bother him. No other spots anywhere - his coat looks very healthy and shinny, his poops are tiny and form - no other signs of an allergy or issues, any ideas?

| Maybe your vet should do a Culture and Sensitivity or a biopsy of the spot on his foot. Sorry to hear about Hanna, glad Benji is doing better.

| Here's pictures of what his foot looks like - not the best but you can see how dark and thickened the skin is. We've done skin scrapings, blood work including full thyroid panel, he has a beautiful healthy coat otherwise - it's just the one foot..... http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...a/ac4f3b26.jpg http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...a/e2f3d6d1.jpg

| We did send a skin scraping off to the lab for a C&S but nothing grew. I'm going to get him an appointment with the dermatologist I use for my other dog, just wondering if anyone had any ideas I could mention to my vet before then since it takes a couple weeks to get an appointment if it's not anything that needs prompt attention. It's not bothering him so I know he'll be low priority on the appointment book.

| And thank you everyone for your kind thoughts on my Hannah - she's always been the most robust, healthy dog in my pack. It's hard seeing her suddenly do sick . She's been with me longer then any of the others, she's been by my side though an awful lot - I just pray we can get this nasty disease under control soon so I can enjoy many more years with her!
