I've opted to keep Chewie in a short cut. I do leave a little more length on his head/face, but no topknot for us! It fits his personality and my lifestyle better if I don't have to worry about doing a topknot.

I have grown out the hair on his face so we don't have any short ones around his eyes.

My 2 both have long hair but I give them bangs

no short hair by their eyes

I think it's all personal preference... I can see how it would be nice to not have to manage the top knot, but for now... I like my two in top knots. I figure it's just hair and I can cut it when I don't feel like doing their hair any more.
