| What's Up with This ? I Log in then this happens. I have been answering questions and when I try post my reply, I get the response 'you are not allowed to do this, please log in.' So all that effort to write to the OP is gone. I wrote a detailed answer and step by step lesson plan to a poster with a hype-reactive dog. It took me 30 min.s to pull up my notes then write this up for her. Then it was gone ! I wonder is it YT saying, keep it short and sweet ? Sometimes advice takes mone then a few sentences. Has this happened to anyone else ? Thanks for your feed back. Teresa

| Usually a web site is set up to log you out automatically after a certain period of time if you don't check the "remember me" check box (sometimes it does that even if you do). My advice is if you have a long post to write, write it in a notepad, and then just copy it to the forum, this way you are sure it works. Also sometimes, if you have an error when posting, if you press the back button you might be able to see the text and copy it. |

| No, I've wrote some long ones but haven't gotten that since I got my new computer last year. I used to get all kind of weird things happening with postings, including that one, with my old computer but since I've had the new one, nothing like that. What makes me mad is how a long paragraph can be totally wiped out by something I hit & I don't know how to get it back!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | So sorry that happened, do you have a word processing program, where you can write your long replies and then just copy and paste to Yorkietalk?

| Thanks Nancy 1999, that is a good idea. The next time I have a long reply this is what I will do.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I had to learn the hard way! Also, if I were you, I'd save up some your longer replies instead of having to rewrite them every time. You have so many great suggestions.

| Happened here too... sometimes when I remember, I highlight my answer, right click, & copy, before I press the submit button... never had any luck using the 'back' button. Also, you can do a search of YT at the bottom of any page. Type in the topic, comma, then your username and it'll bring up just your posts on the subject.
