| One thing I did, was bring Sugar's jammies and asked my vet to please dress her before she woke up from the anesthesia. It was December (but we do live in Florida) and I know that after surgery it is important to keep their body temperature up, plus, jammies are just cozy when you feel like poo Sending and and

| Keeping Ahi in my prayers, she will be fine. Miss Priss acted as if nothing had happened by the next morning and I had a hard time trying to keep her calm. Thankful that my vet gave pain pills and told me to them to her even though I thought they weren't needed. I swear they are so precious and tug at our heartstrings...

| I was really nervous when Jaeger had his....but he was back to himself about a day and a half later. We were told to walk him before we left because we dropped him off at 8a and picked him up at 11a-you may want to ask. I held jaeger the whole way home (bad, i know, but I wasn't driving and he was miserable) but I'd suggest a crate over a car seat. |

| It is an awful experience having to take out babies to the vet and leave them! I felt like I had betrayed her. I was so glad when I was able to pick her up. She acted so sleepy and down and out the first day. I felt horrible for her. The next day she was considerably improved and the day after that she acted like nothing had happened!![]() If you do give her pain medication ask the vet what kind it is. Some give anti-inflammatory meds for pain and they can cause more problems than good sometimes. The stronger pain meds will make you baby sleepy for a longer period of time. That has it's good and bad points also. Usually your little girl will be wanting to sleep off what they gave her at the vet's the first day and will start to get interested in getting back to normal the second day. I'm glad you have the soft collar for her. I hate to see any dog with those hard plastic things on that strain the poor darlings neck. |

| Aww...I bet she will do great... I posted about Luma's spay a couple weeks ago...I was such a mess!!! I held her so much that morning and gave her tons of kissies...and the vet took her while I was in the middle of paper work, so all I got to give her was a quick hug and said I loved her...told her to be good..and she was gone. I felt like crap. Got in the car and immmediately burst into tears, cried for a good two or three hours...lol. I'm so dramatic. Luma was SO happy to see me, the vet was going over instructions with bf and I, but I wasnt even listening...just holding her so carefully and loving on her! She was so sleepy that day. We didnt cone her unless she was out of our sights. Only thing was she had a little trouble going poo the first two days...it must have hurt her ...also, she mustve truly been so scared...I honestly think she was a little traumatized by the whole thing. She was VERY shaky, trembly all over, nonstop...she is just now getting back to her old self, 13 days later. It was heartbreaking to see her so frightened, but that was her first time being left somewhere like that ![]() Anyways I really hope little Ahi does fantastic, and that YOU can stay strong for her! Will be in tomorrow for an update! Try to get good rest tonight...I will be praying for a routine spay and a speedy recovery.
