| Newbie to Forum and Yorkies Hi, I thought I would introduce myself instead as I know I will be asking so so many questions. First off I live in the United Kingdom with my husband and I’m American by birth and have lived here for the last ten years. My husband is an allergic animal lover and since he has never had a pet in his life except for our chickens. He has always wanted a dog so we looked at the list of allergic dogs and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Yorkies were on the list. I have wanted a Yorkie for years but with work and busy schedule never thought I would be a proper dog owner. So doing several searches on line I came across this forum and thought before I actually got a Yorkie I should read and learn so that I can make as few mistakes as possible. I haven’t had many dogs in my life none that were mine mostly my mother’s dogs that I kept while she was on holiday. So I will apologies for basic silly and stupid questions way ahead of time. Thank so much for your advice and thoughts … Jae Dawn |

| Good afternoon! And welcome from a fellow UK-er! You've certainly come to the right place - so much advice and information, and lovely people of course! Apart from this particular forum - it might be worth you having a little look at the 'Europe' one too? It's much quieter, but there are some questions and answers of interest. Good luck with your search - and please feel free to ask away! Sally + Harry x |
