| What are sme things I'll need for my new yorkie puppy? I just bought a yorkie puppy on Friday! I'm soo excited to bring her home! She can't come home for another two weeks though because shes only 1.6 pounds. Anyway though what is a list of basic supplies I'll need for her? |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations. The essentials include: - an xpen and crate - a soft bed - water and food bowls (stay away from plastic) - White Karo or Nutri Cal for hypoglycemia emergencies - food from the breeder: continue feeding the same diet for at least a month - piddle pads - the phone number and directions to the nearest doggy ER, and a wellness appointment immediately with your regular vet - a tiny comb - check the "sticky" thread in the health section for the list for a first aid kit Have you had a Yorkie before? Usually a good breeder will not release a pup under 2 pounds except to an experienced home. I don't mean to frighten you, but tiny baby Yorkies are very fragile in terms of health and need round the clock care. I want to save you from the heartache that many have suffered when they brought home a tiny puppy. Breeders will often hold onto pups until they reach a certain weight.
