| My baby had babies Im so sad. We had a whoopsie litter of pups last night. She had three babies each one a different color. We have one that's the norm black and gold, one chocolate, and one silver. 😱 they are all doing fantastic thank goodness just concerned over the coloring, I haven't read many good things.... Anyone have a silver yorkie as an adult? I know the Chocolates are becoming more and more common but the silver throws me for a loop... Any thoughts 😘 |

| It all depends on what breed the father is...

| a whoopsie litter, your dam just fell on the winkle of a sire???? Depends on the genes of the two dogs involved, both whoopsie dogs are Yorkies? |

| Yes both are yorkies. Real cute.... I didn't realize she was in heat, he wasn't acting crazy like I've known male dogs to do. I had planned on letting her have a litter just not so soon. |

| I'm not being rude or catty I'm asking how your dog accidentally got pregnant and if the dad is a yorkie, no need to get defensive, I was actually throwing in some humour to be honest |

| I am no experienced breeder, actually never had any female dogs have any litter of puppies, but the first thing I think of when you say silver is that the baby is a "blue" puppy. If you could post a picture of the babies, some of the more experienced members can probably help you out. Hoping that mama and babies are doing well.

| There is a recent thread on YT about blue born Yorkie puppies. It is a genetic defect and can be very serious to the puppy's health as it develops. You need to look into this further. Since one of the pups is also brown it sounds like one or both of your dogs may be carrying the gene for this defect. |

| Sounds like a blue born. Yor dogs obviously carry recessive genes not good for breeding. I'd have them spayed. |

| Definitely try and post pics of the litter. It does sound like you may have had a blue. I hope momma and babies are doing well.
