| Finally... silence!! Ugghh... Olivia is such a brat with our cat. If he does anything she doesn't like she FREAKS OUT! There is no stopping her- you can yell and hit the wall, couch, etc. to get her attention and she doesn't even notice. At first I appreciated it and thought it was funny (my little tattle-tale!) because she usually did this when my cat was on the kitchen counter or somewhere else he didn't belong, but it quickly got out of hand! I tried a firm "no bark", tried ignoring her whenever would excessively bark, tried a water bottle and nothing would work. Last night I was fed up and put some coins in an empty soup can and finally... silence! She HATES the noise! I had to use it a few times, and she got really scared and ran into my lap each time, and actually calmed down! So, anyone having a problem with excessive barking for whatever reason- try this- it is a lifesaver!! |

I need to keep one of those handy. Mollie has started barking almost non stop some mornings after my husband leaves for work. Other dogs in the neighborhood are barking I guess where everyone is starting their day. I knew about this but, I would not have thought about it. Thanks again.

| That is so great that you found something that worked for you! I've been there before too....Where you think a little habit is cute but then snowballs into a major issue. I'm guessing your cat is a lot happier now too, LOL

YT 5000 Club Member | The only time Gidget is like that is when we are leaving the house and she isn't going! She gets crazy with barking and turning in circles! It is funny yet very annoying!
