| To newbies who are searching for a new baby Good morning, YT I wanted to say something to all expectant Yorkie parents in search of a new baby. Please please please do your homework before choosing your new baby. While searching CL and classifieds hoping to spot my Choppa that was stolen from me I see so much bad business it breaks my heart. I think of the excitement I have looking for a baby and realize how easy it is to get sucked in. While searching Craigslist I came across a few ads of people wanting Yorkies. I answered a few and directed them here so they can get educated while they search so they can know what to expect, what to avoid and have an amazing support group here on YT. I don't know everything but have a wealth of knowledge easily accessible here. 2 keys to remember HIGH PRICE DOES NOT MEAN PERFECT PUP and TEACUP IS NOT A YORKIE TERM. Where I work we have classifieds. Someone posted 2 yorkie males, 10 months old 3 & 4 pounds. I inquired and she sent me pictures and OMG. I asked if they were litter mates she said yes. One looks to have silky, the other looks pure Yorkie and scared to death. I looked past the pups to the background to see sad eyes peering at me from the wooden cages you see outside with BYB. It was a Shi Tzu. I never answered back but can't stop looking at the pictures. Buying a puppy from a bad situation only funds the bad situation. It took me over a year to find Foxxy and Choppa. Take your time. Greeders NEED for you to be excited, impatient and eager that way they know they can get away with telling you anything. They love a new owner who hasn't researched. I think we need YT badges to wear If the puppy looks odd........RUN! Sorry so long

| Good advice...but sadly the people who really need it won't listen. I have to bite my thoung not to say something that will cause me to loose "friends" at work and such. I start small...and give bits more. I have stopped a few pet store purchases which is good

| I have such mixed emotions on buying from a BYB. I know that we don't need to support the greeder. But then those eyes kill me. They say please take me home because I know that you will take care of me and give me a good life. The sadness tugs at my heart. I know I know I know all about not supporting. But my love for animals just seems to take over sometimes and I want to get the pup. It is a hard and sad situation. DH keeps telling me I can't save them all. It is probably a good thing he has told me I can't have any more. He says Mikki and Rosie is all I need because they keep me busy! Ha ha. I am so sorry about Choppa.
