				 | If a window unit is put in properly there are no holes or escape spots for animals. You cannot have holes or the hot air comes in the house!

				 | That's the problem, I've never seen one properly designed for windows that open side to side, only up and down, that's why it won't work for my house. I could make it fit in the window, but I couldn't properly secure it with no gabs so the hot air couldn't come in and cats couldn't get out.

				 | I rent this house, so it can't be a permanent thing. I've asked at the home improvement stores, and none of them had anything that vented out the window - I just need something temporary and portable, not a window unit.
