If I tell my terrier/x "give me kiss", she gives one little lick on my lips (nope, doesn't bother me in the least). Then I kiss her. We go back and forth for as long as we want to and I know Mo loves it as much as I do!

lol Geno slaps me when we are playing. Well not slapping just pawing. I tell him that's rude and I walk away. I wouldn't mind a nice gentle puppy paw on my mouth though

My Sassy who is almost 9 and came from a puppy mill will grin at me when i talk to her in a low voice and it is sooo cute. She also will take her snout and gently push it against me in various places, especially when i feed her food to her. At first i thought she was tryin to be dominant and tell me to hurry up and get her food, but i think it is just because she is excited. She has never tried to be dominant towards me or my daughter but she is the dominant dog in our house.

It is so funny but I think there is a bit of dominance in the action as she does place her front feet on me like she thinks she is holding me down. If your dog is gently putting the foot on your mouth I would think it is affection.

Huey does this but sometimes he stands on his back legs and puts his paws on my cheeks and kisses me. He is a very insistant kisser and I usually have to pick him up and place him elsewhere or he will pin me down by climbing on my chest and holding my face. It is really cute but can also be annoying (very dominant behaviour...)
I love the thought of a gentle paw on the mouth. So sweet!!!! Surely a sign of love.
