All I can say is .... WOW, I would so so ticked off . Maybe some type of incident occurred, but even if that was the case...I can't imagine my" FRIEND" ever going to that extreme without consulting me first! So sorry...what a shocker  |
no reason for the groomer just she wanted to do it and so she did:thumbdown AND she dos not understand what she did was so far off from being ok that i can´t even talk to her right now. I will NEVER trust her with my dog after this |

I once came home to my skin son with 10 different colors of nail polish on his fingers and a mohawk...he was 9 my life long best friend knew I would be pissed to say the least but she also knew I would forgive her...once the shock wore off I shaved the rest of his hair and removed the nail polish, not before I took pictures though!!!:D I know that there is nothing she wouldn't do for my kids, me, or my pets (even though she is not a pet lover)!! |
Yes you´r right she wanted to surprise me and she do love my dogs and all that and the hear will grow back but i´m still sooooooo MAD cant help it |

Don't let it ruin whats left of your vacation, enjoy and when you get home you will be happy to see your pup despite her topknotlessness!!! I'm just trying to make you feel better!:) |
i know how you feel, but i too think she meant the best. I know as well as my friends know me they dont prob know how seriously i would take something like that. But thankfully she is still healthy and living. As much as it sucks, at least it will grow back:) |
Yes you´r right whats done is done moving on thank you I do feel a bit better now;) |

:thumbup: Have to agree with linzy here....friends have NO idea how much importance that top knot (and tail hair!!) has with us and our Yorkie babies!!! Just take a deep breath and set your jaw, and smile and let her know how much you appreciate how well she has taken care of your baby...next time, we will just skip a groomer appointment....and, OH BY THE WAY....did she use YOUR groomer??? I would go THERE also, and tell HER, in the future, do NOT do any clipping or cutting or pruning unless I say so....just shampoo, set, and comb out please, thank you very much! Back to the friend...dont ruin this friendship over what in her mind was a great big wonderful surprise! You are sooooooo fortunate you have someone you can TRUST with the health and safety of your baby, in your absence! Quote:

True that is what i´m mad about too she dos not understand why i´m mad and just laught at me  I want to cry i´m so angry she did not ask me for one and she is not even sorry she did this |
no she did not go to my groomer . My groomer knows all about what i want with my dog and she is the best love hear she will never cut anything unless i say it´s ok and i told my friend that if she did not have time to bath my dog or groom to take her ther for that so i don´t understand why she went to pet smart for grooming and b.t.w they did a HORRIBLE job so i have to take her to MY groomer to have it fixed wen i come home :( I think I have to shave her she looks so bad with shaved head and only her ear hear left :thumbdown |
I think there are a lot of trust issues going on here. A "friend" does not laugh at you when you are upset. If you did not ask your friend to take your dog to the groomer then she really had no business doing it. Maybe she is not as good of a friend as you thought that she was. Have you ever discussed the topknot with her? I would not expect a friend or family member to take my dog to a different groomer, much less any groomer, without discussing it with me first. It seems a bit cruel to me to do such a thing and then laugh at you for being upset. You may want to consider who you leave your dog with in the future. This person does not respect boundaries or your feelings. I have a feeling that your "friend" had felt for a while that your dog would look better with a different look and took advantage of her time with your dog to do what she wanted. You need to get things straight with this person and consider how far you should trust her in the future. |
Unfortunately she should have asked, but if she's a good friend, it's not worth loosing sleep over. Last summer I kept my nieces yorkie, he was a total mess when I got him. So I tried to comb him out. He was not having it. Luckly I know how they have him groomed so I took him to my groomer. All was good, and he was so much happier till he went back home. But she should have asked first. I feel for both of you. |
arg im sorry your friend did that. i had a friend () who i love try to hold Ziggy by the scruff of his neck. ziggy yelped. i lost it, told her NOT to ever hold or treat ziggy in a way that she doesnt see me doing. if her's liked it thats fine, mine does not! Arg people like to impose their views and wants on others. Its my pet peeve!!! |
Holy Cow..what a mess! I have to say some people do not understand how important our fur babies are to us and that they truly are like our children. Good thing you are still away and have time to cool off before seeing her face-to-face. If she is a friend worth keeping, you need to try to forgive. |

I would be angry as well |
well, i have to say whether she meant well or not it was not her business to do . |
Guess who won't ever be dog sitting again... Why is it some people do you a favor and assume that gives them entitlement to do whatever they so choose? I had a child care pro ider do something similiar, never again. |
wow that is very rude. i would be beside myself as well...you know who not to allow babysitting rights again and honestly she doesnt sound like such a friend. hope ur babies hair grows back fast. |
that female dog, I'd be questioning her judgement and let her know you are truly unhappy with her but appreciate her taking good care of the dog and it's not a decision she is to make on your behalf |
i can totally understand you being upset// i would be too |
ok so i´m home now cut my vic short to pick up my baby and guess what.... SHE PHOTOSHOPT the pic of my Lilly and she is fine OMG  don´t know if i´m happy or sad  She was going to tell me the truth but too late i was on my way home and phone was off :( |
I don't get it. She Photoshopped a pic of your Yorkie with a hair cut and posted it on her own FB and then you happened to stubble on it there and that was a prank? Wow she fails at prank delivery and that's just a mean one anyways. |
no she posted the pics on my fb , thinking it will be a fun prank but did not think i´d flip out and go home before she told me about the ´´prank´´ |

Well, in that case, I think it's funny. She got you. :) Don't get mad, get even. Prank her back. Plot. It's on. :) |
OK. I admit I am older but I don't think that getting a person terribly upset about her dog that she cares very deeply about and posting it on face book as a "joke" is very funny. You obviously love your dog and this person knows it. That is taking advantage of a friendship and pushing it too far. She thinks it's funny? You were out of your head upset to the point that you cut your vacation short. I hope you set some boundaries concerning this relationship in the future. I enjoy a good joke but not at someone else's expense. |
A prank is only funny if both parties are laughing, otherwise it is just being cruel and abusive of a trust that you put into someone else. She may of thought it funny but she broke a trust that you put into her. Stay friends,,yes. Tell her politely that you didnt find it funny,,yes. Trust her with your baby again,, #@!! no. |
