| Why am I am making a 14 yr old volunteer? Pure fustration ! Ok I want to share why I am making a 14 year old volunteer for the summer. He is a good kid but lately a bit self absorbed. This started a few months back. This behavior that it had been me I would have been grounded until I was 30. This was because at his age he knows everything and friends and girls So the past few months there has been this problem with not following thru. The dogs weren't getting their full walks. I had back surgery and need some extra help. He would come in to min after going out it takes these guys 30 to 40 min to walk and potty. The. Their bowels were not filled up and few other issues that I want boar you with all the details The thing that pushed me to this was a few weeks ago he was at his moms house. They have 3 dogs also that they rescued. He even paid for the first one with his own money at 11 years old. He went with a friend of his skating and he left the dogs outside it was a fenced. It had areas where th digs. Kyle get out and our county has a kill shelter. His mom came home about 10 that night to no dogs creating her. The patio light was on so she found the little guys. He was ground for about a month and 1/2. The. Things were good. Then last week at his mom came home and found the dogs left out again. This time it was hot out I have a major issue with animal crudity and abuse I want him to see what the consequences are of being a irresponsible pet owner. I think it is great life lesson for him. I wish more parents would teach responsibility with animals to their kids They thin it is ok to buy an animal for a gift or because there is a movie out about a breed then a few months later all these little ones are up for adoption because they are to much or the new owners don't understand the breed then they are overwhelmed. Then they don't realize the expense involved they realize they don't have the money needed. The one that hurts the most is when the puppy is no longer a cute puppy so it's not tiny and cute like a toy. The dog is now attached to the family but they no longer want it So this is why this is my pet project for the summer
