![]() I haven't posted in so long!! I hope everyone is doing well!! Princess just turned 7 years old this month and lost one of her very back teeth because it was going bad (she was chewing on a bully stick, when it finally came out), but now a few days ago, I notice this hard, bump growing out from the top her gums (see attachment). I took her to the vet right away and he says he honestly doesn't know what it is. He says it's not what dogs typically have in their gums (forgot the common term), but he hesitates to call it a tumor just yet. He says he can remove it but it's up to me... ![]() It doesn't seem to bother or hurt her, but I am honestly super scared and nervous, I can't bear the thought of having her go through surgery!!! Does anyone have ANY experience with this on their dogs?? ANY input will be helpful, as I am a nervous wreck right now just checking on it all the time hoping it goes away!!!

![]() Please take your little one to another vet. I colddnt tell much from your photo but that looks inflamed. I know Mollie had an extra set of a few test and I am wondering if that could be the issue. Did the vet do any X-rays of the mouth or put her antibiotics to see if. That cleared it up I wouldn't let him take it out if he wasn't sure what it is. I suggest second opinions

![]() Mollie had those little bumps when her gums were infected. I did not know she had the extra teeth until she was 7 and had issues eating. I suggested trying antibiotics because I am a nurse and by trading if the area clears it was infected just my experience
