YT 500 Club Member | found bald spot on new puppy Hi everyone, I just got a new t cup puppy, I know no such thing. But a few days later found some bald spots on her back. Vet said may not be ringworms, but won't know for sure till skin scrape test is taken. Should I have not gotten her? She was 10 weeks and 1 and 1/2 lb. A the time of purchase. Now 2.3 lbs. At 11 weeks. She's otherwise very healthy, playful, and appetite is great. Has anyone encountered this problem? Will her hair grow back? Kinda worried what it may be! |

| If she is a puppy she may just be loosing her baby hair. They all go through this awkward stage when there coat looks awful. It should come back in just takes awhile. Little Abbie is almost 4 months old and is losing her baby hair. This may happen a few more times their coat is not fully reached till they are about 2 |

| where did you purchase her from, go back to your breeder for advice and ask her what it could be. Any good breeder will be more than willing to help you out, did you have a parasitic test done or check for scabies |

| what about your breeder, you shouldn't be sent home with unhealthy dogs, surely she did a vet check and puppy shots before sending the pup home with you, sorry but that isn't a good breeder. Do you have the pups medical records from the breeder. There is obviously illness within her brood of dogs, what kind of health guarantee did the pup come with, I'm guessing none if the breeder is selling you a sick pup with a bag of meds, hello I'd have said see ya gimme my money back keep your puppy |

YT 500 Club Member | bald spots Yes there was a 1 year health guarantee. A DNA test and clean bill of health from her vet. All I got was puppy shot records. She had 2 shots, weighed at 10 wks, 1 and 1/2 lbs. Brought her back 3 days after I bought her and told the breeder the problems, that's when she gave me the meds to treat her and $100.00 back. Or I could have given her back, but was to attached to her already. Also found out bad news about this breeder from this forum after the fact. |
