| Operation No More Scruff... So, I decided Dan was in need of a cut and bath so I set up just like I had last time I did this. Needless to say, it went much better last time. I had to call it a day early because Dan was absolutely not having anything to do with me getting near his feet. He was kicking and cry and shaking and I just couldn't do it. So now, I have to wait a day for his bath so he's not too traumatized by the whole ordeal. I also wanted to give him a top knot but when I tried his hair is still too short and he's got scragglies that hang down into his eyes... Oy, my little scruffy bucket is putting up a fight this time. First pic is before his cut and the second one is after. It's a little hard to tell because I didn't do much to his face because I'm trying to grow his hair out for the top knot but his body is no longer scruffy! |

| He is so adorable This is why I take mine to the groomers Luna pitches a fit when I just brush her, can't get near her with clippers or scissors My groomer is fantastic though, I call her the "dog whisperer" because she can get her so calm and do anything to her. Izzy is pretty easy. Good luck with the bath!

| aaw how cute. I too take Miss Priss to the groomer, she goes every month so she is used to it and I bathe her weekly, she does really well when I bath her too. Hopefully your baby will relax and enjoy the bath.

| You did a great job! I love short cuts for summer. Just take it slowly, he will get used to it eventually and let you do more.

| Thanks. Yeah, I don't know what it was about this time... probably just not in the mood. He stood nice and still and laid down all calm while I got his body, butt, tummy and head but when I got near his feet it was game over. Last time I managed to get three of his feet done on my own before I needed back up but this time I only got like, half I'm just cheap and don't want to spend money on a groomer... honestly, when I lived back home my grandmother owned a dog groomers and the women who took over when my g/ma couldn't do it anymore was forever grateful for us helping her move the shop so she cut our dogs for free. I got spoiled lol. Dan's usually fine with baths. He does the customary initial freak out before just standing there in the tub looking depressed while I clean him. I just have to start touching his feet more so he gets used to it. I had to stop because he was shaking so bad today. I felt guilty But yes, next step is bath time and then hopefully his hair will be long enough soon to put in a top knot. I'm planning on making him the most adorable like snuggle butt ever <3 |

| Does Dan let you pet and hold his feet? I know they aren't supposed to like it, but Maggie lets me "hold her hand". She is so good about being touched. Clippers and hair dryers? Forget about it, she wiggles like fish out of water. I'm afraid I will break her so she goes to the groomers. She does let me bather her while she stands with her front feet on the middle of my double sink. The groomers have the table with the short leashes. They dogs seem to know they can't get away. I wonder if that would help with at home grooming? |

| He lets me hold his arm but generally he's not to keen on me touching his feet or messing with his paws. Normally, he's super wiggly so it's even hard to pet his head because he wants to lick you but when he's relaxed, he'll let us touch just about any part of him. |
