| ![]() Hello Everyone, Just joined today after getting some difficult news. We have 3 yorkies. Pepe: 6 years old, Snickers: 5 years old and Emme, 1 1/2 years old. We just found out 3 days ago Pepe may have Protien Losing Enteropathy. Quite dis-heartening news. They've run all the tests, even an ultra-sound. Tomorrow he gets an endoscopy (sp). I guess it's the dog version of a colonoscopy. Poor little guy. I guess it's an un-curable disease, but treatable. What makes it the toughest is he was our first. We're going to do what we can for as long as we can......can anyone offer any information? Sure would like to know as much as we can and what to expect. Thanks in advance! |

| ![]() I just wanted to welcome you to Yorkie Talk and say how sorry I am to hear about your Pepe's recent diagnosis. I googled the diagnosis and found this site explaining some information on the disease. Otherwise, I don't have any experience of my own to help you out with this. I hope that Pepe responds well to treatment and remains stable for a long, long time to come. Protein Losing Enteropathy in Dogs & Cats / Dogs Articles / Pet Articles / Televets.com |

| ![]() I have no experience either, maybe you could start a thread in the sick and injured or health and diet forum with that in the title? Welcome to YT, you will get lots of support here!
