| Don't judge a book by it's cover My husband enjoys motorcycle riding and has a couple Harleys he rides. This weekend he talked me into going to a motorcycle rally not far from our house. You see all kinds of people there...motorcycle gang members, doctors, lawyers, etc. We were standing listening to a band when my husband nudged me and pointed to my toes. I looked down and a little black s**tz Zu (sp) with one eye was sitting at my feet looking at me. I followed the leash to a man that was the size of a small building with shoulder length grey hair. I asked what the dog's name was and if I could pet her. He said yes and we talked for about 15 minutes about little dogs. He got this little girl from a friend that he didn't think was treating her right. I won't go into details but you can imagine. He told me he tried walking her with a collar and she would pull so hard he went out and bought a harness and how she did so much better. The little girl needed brushing and smelled terrible. Other than that she was a happy little thing. You could tell she was in love with her owner and he was in love with her by the way he talked to her and how gently he treated her. After we got done talking, he turned around and I saw he was wearing the colors of one of the worst motorcycle gangs in the nation. I was shocked!!! Goes to show dog lovers are everywhere.

| I guess what amazed me is knowing what he probably had to do to get into this gang and yet he had a soft spot in his heart for this little girl. I'm sure she hasn't had any shots and is eating junk for food but at least she doesn't have to worry about being hurt anymore.

| Gotta love seeing a big burley guy with a small pup and riding a motorcycle on top of it, no matter who it is. Pups just bring out the best in most people. God Bless that biker for saving that little pups life. :-) |

| That is so true. We both ride motorcycles and I can tell you positively that there are a lot of riders out there with fur babies...people who, regardless of their "colors" are high caliber when it comes to animals. I have met some of these grand folks at motorcycle rallies, too.

| I guess we all jump to conclusions at times. People who end up in bad motorcycle clubs and in other rough situations many times have come from homes that were both heartless and loveless. While it hardens some people others still have that need deep inside them for that love and acceptance that they never received growing up. While we all can think of too many examples of people who mistreat animals we also need to remember the people who never got over missing out on the kindness they needed so much as young people. |

| My friends say I am an advocate for all, I have friends in high places and skid row, literally. All I can say is that I know for sure, that too many people judge a book by its cover...The only people I don't like...are bad people.

| I'm friends on facebook with Harley the Biker dog, he's a wee yorkie who rides all over the place with his dad. Dad made a special harness for Harley and his dad loves him to pieces, they post tons of photos with him being snuggled and kissed by big scary looking bikers with soft hearts |

| Too cute!!! Macy is scared to death of our motorcycle and I couldn't see her riding with my husband and enjoying herself.
