| Oh man, what could this be?!?! We have had fleas on and off (again, sigh) for the past couple of weeks. Despite being on Frontline!! So I got some k9 Advantix II, treated the yard and house, and washed every piece of fabric in the house. This procedure was repeated again just a few days ago because my hubby had fleas on him while sitting on our sofa Both times the girls went to the groomers to stay while I treated the house/yard and were bathed with flea shampoo then treated with the Advantix as soon as I got them home. Fast forward to today, when I notice the girls once again scratching and itching Luna much worse than Izzy. She's also shaking her head and trying to scratch at her ears. I noticed that her fur around her lower back/flank area looks patchy too They both have flea allergies, so at first I thought it might be residual effect from any fleas that bit them before, but then like I said, I noticed the patchiness and the ear involvement. The first thought I had was OMG MANGE!!!! Please, Lord, I hope not---the treatment for that is very toxic, from what I understand. Regardless, both girls will be seen by the vet at 9 am tomorrow, the soonest I could get them in. In the meantime, has anyone ever had their pup have these symptoms? I might be getting ahead of myself here, but want to be able to talk to the vet about treatment for whatever this might be, and not let him give the girls anything that might be harmful or not effective. It's probably all in my danged head, but I have been itchy today too UGH Any wisdom for me?

| I dont want to scare you but thats exactly how my chachi got mange he had a flea allergy first. He went through the dips for treatment and did fine untill about the 4th one then he got diahrea. We had the vet do a skin scrape and there werent anymore mites so we didnt do anymore dips he was supposed to have 6. Some vets dont do dips and prescribe meds for it but I think the dips are the most effective way to get rid of them. I hope they dont have them and its just flea allergy. I am real careful mine dont get fleas since that. I use advantage every month and have never had that problem again
