| ![]() I would assume animal control would have the answers. That would be a really good thread to start and could eventually be added to the "Finding a lost Yorkie" thread.

| ![]() Yes, you can call your local animal control to find out. Sometimes city laws take precedence over state.

| ![]() Taylor, What county are you in? In Baltimore County, a found pet must be turned over to Animal Control within 24 hours.

| ![]() I think it would be neat if each state or county came out with a little pamphlet or booklet to let people know animals laws because some people don't know the animal laws and whether it be for there animal or one they find.

| ![]() Yes, it would because many people really don't know what to do if they find an animal. I have a book for Texas that was put together by an animal rights attorney. It is great, but I still have to google at times just to see if anything has changed.

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | ![]() Licensed??? I guess I should read it. I think a lot of people would not turn a Yorkie over in hopes that they could keep him/her.

| ![]() I am currently taking care of a yorkie I found. We have a great vet that did a check up of her (luckly healthy just a little under weight) and gave me flea medicine for her (she had a horrible flea infestation) for no cost. But now she has been with us for over a month and a half. I have paid for another vet visit and another flea treatment. I planne on looking for her owner for another month then adopt her. The vet bills weren't high but it was an expense that we wouldn't normally have. I would ask for reimbursment. |
