ah, you're such a good mommy. ahi will do great!! :D |
aww Good Luck little Ahi! She'll be great but being a nervous wreck over it is completely normal lol I was so nervous when Geno got neutered and my boyfriend was flying to India that day so he wasn't going to get to see Geno after his neutering and it left me with taking care of him by myself. Geno honestly didn't really need much help cause he was a huge trooper. The first day he was pretty much out cold the whole time and slept on my lap. I don't even think he ate anything and maybe had a little bit of water. The next day he was up eating, drinking, going potty, and playing. Geno was only 3lbs when he got neutered but obviously spaying is a lot more intrusive so it's prob a little easier for boys...typical lol |
I'm sure she will be fine, love her name..keeping you both in my t's and p's. |

FYI all 4 of my girls were done at around 5 lbs. no problems. My vet did internal stitches so there was nothing on the outside to rub on or for them to chew on; it worked nicely and I didn't need a cone or onesies. You might ask how your vet stitches. Also there is a sticky note somewhere on YT that addresses the safest form of anesthesia and other protocol to insure best care. I'll try to find it and post, or maybe someone else knows where it is. Good luck to lil Ahi. It will be a nervous day for you, so round up some support for yourself. She will likely be out of it for a day or two, but I was amazed at how quickly my girls came around after, and did great. |
Anesthsia Protocol Roni, this is interesting if you haven't already read it: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-protocol.html |

It will be OK. My little girl was 2 lbs when she was spayed. She did wonderful. we had to wear a cone but other than that it went well. She did so much better than her dad and me. |
