It's probably going to vary from yorkie owner to yorkie owner.

Personally, I find the breeding of anything but a standard yorkie to a standard yorkie unacceptable. Breeding anything else into a yorkie line and breeding off-colours automatically makes the breeder unethical, IMO.

Im glad I was able to help you because I wasnt judging what you were wanting to do just trying to give you answers because it is more complicated than just breeding yorkies however those threads can get heated too. I really think highly of you for considering the info though and your options thats all anyone could really ask for. Alot of the times on threads that go this way where the OP gets questioned about breeding the Op gets so defensive that they tune out and quit posting so Im glad you didnt do that

I am so pleased to see that we can agree on something. I think maybe sometimes your pasion can come across as fanatical and unproductive (when read). And i can understand this as I would feel the same way if discussing something that i felf super passionate about. Im not quite sure what to do... I prefer to mate Mollyeet with Eli bec, there's a bigger likelihood that their puppies will me ba smaller. On the other hand, should I not mate them bec he's a Beiwer? Im actually annoyed that some consider Beiwer as a different breed when history itself says that the line came from Yorkshire Terriers. I want the puppies to be registered and recognized. In the past, all our dogs are mix breeds. Its just frustrating that now I have a pure bred dog, her puppies might be classified as mix breed again.

I commend you for doing your research here because of all of the experiences the people on YT have to offer. I've read many of the posts and hope you don't take them too offensive. Sometimes passionate people appear rude. But I believe most here are being passionate. I have yorkies and biewers. They are both wonderful breeds. If you decide to breed her and want to continue a true bloodline, then you need to stick with a yorkie and not mixbreed. Biewers are beautiful, but remember that breeding a yorkie to one doesn't produce puppies that look like biewers. As far as her breeding her because she is so tiny, talk to your vet (there's a reason they have those degrees) and become educated before taking that step. Which sounds like what you are doing now! Good luck with your decision!

I didn't expect Yorkietalk to be "addicting" but I spent a lot more time on this website than on yahoo or facebook. haha.. I'm sure that I will continue to be part of this community.
