| Help! My home was broken into on February 29th and the thieves stole my beloved dog, Dash. This happened In the Maxwell Park area of Oakland. Dash is fifteen months old, he has a tan face and light grey body, he is not neutered. He is a very sweet dog. Can you give me any pointers that might help me bring my baby back home. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| Is he chipped? If so notify the chip company that he has been stolen. If whoever took him takes him to the pound or a vet and he gets scanned they will see he was stolen and does not belong to that person. Also maybe make flyers with his photo and description and take them to the local vets and shelters so they can keep an eye out. |

| I am so sorry to hear about Dash being stolen. How terribly heartbreakiing for you. I'll be praying for his safe return. Here is a link from YT with some ideas that may help you find him. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...st-yorkie.html

| Some things that are required by Law in most states, contact your local shelter & let them know & ask that they take a report & call your local newspaper & place an add in the lost/found section. I would ask animal control or someone at the City how long you legally need to run the ad in the paper. These things will protect you in the event you see someone with your dog & they try to say they bought or found the dog. You just need proof that you publicly made an effort to find your dog. I would put up flyers & post on CraigsList, notify vets for miles around & put a flyer in every public place you can, for example in the grocery stores, pet stores, laundry mats, convenience stores, restaurants & any place else you can think of. I will be Praying you get your baby back. |

| I am so sorry. Was anything else taken? Had you noticed anyone asking questions about your dog or following you and watching you?

| Oh my goodness, I am so sorry... I cannot imagine how you are feeling. We were broken into over Christmas and were robbed, but we had our pups with us. Make sure to put up posters stating a reward and file a police report. Also, I would recommend finding 'Find Baxter and Cooper' on Facebook. She was robbed over a year ago and will have a lot of good advice for you to help you find Dash. Also, make sure to post on Craigslist in the Lost and Found section and Pets section. The newspaper is also a good place to write and put an ad in. I am so sorry that this happened, but the quicker you act... The more chance you have of getting him back.
