Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | ![]() Oh my! That is a scary thought, but I can see it happening. I will definitely be on guard from now own. Katie Scarlett has never brought me any animal of any kind, but she is not out unless I am like a step away from her, usually on leash.

| ![]() Thats a good thing to remember, this is a little different but it reminds me of how my hampster died. He escaped his cage and walked where we sprayed bug poison, we put him back in his cage and he died soon after. His name was Houdini ![]() |

| ![]() Gators climbing fences.... that just isn't right. Thanks for the heads up.... Dallas and I just moved into my first house. No more condo livin' for us. He loves HIS yard, and is busy training the squirrels that they are on his turf now. I hope the 6.5' horizontal cedar fence I just installed helps keep my little man safe. |

| ![]() Thanks for the reminder. I know when I grew up on a farm we routinely set out poison for gophers, mole, rats (sadly some times bigger animals got poison, like skunks, kitties and squirrel !) Thankfully most people have stopped using poison. Living in Fl. I have seen pictures of alligators climbing fences.

| ![]() Poison for possums? Seriously? Buster & Maggie went outside early one morning and started barking like crazy. I figured out something was wrong when I heard Buster barking, it wasn't his normal following Maggie's lead. I went outside and there was a possum on the deck cowering against my house. I can't imagine poisoning a possum.

The problem is that folks who put rat poison out without it contained, possums, cats, etc....will eat it.. ![]()

| ![]() Whoah, that fence-climbing gator is just too much! ![]() Fortunately, Lexie has zero prey drive. I worry more about something getting her, not the other way around. It is a good warning, though.
