| Princess has spit up bile... This is about three times now in the last month and a half or so that Princess has spit up a small amount of bile (that I've seen). About as big as a tablespoon. I've read it can be from them being hungry & I know she wont eat by choice while I'm gone, but she has ate these past 4-5 hours. She did eat some grass today but she tries to every time we go out since it's began growing this season. No diet changes whatsoever. Is this normal? She goes to the vet next month for her physical, I plan on asking then unless it's warranted now. Thanks in advance.

| Well i guess it could not hurt to call your vet and ask them about it . They should be able to tell if she should go in sooner. I hope she feels better |

| How old is your baby? and how big? Ziggy did this a few times and his was caused by hunger, he would sleep through the night and wake up too hungry and... well then the bile would come up. i asked my vet and he said its hunger due to his tiny size () he is around 3lbs now so at that time he must have been about 2.5ish) If you're going to your vet anyway, i would bring it up and see what he says, you never know and i trust my vet so I asked (I called and asked and he said i didnt need to come in and explained it to me) He hasnt done it in so long, now i make sure he eats right befor we go to bed and he's fine. Hope its nothing serious with your puppy. Let us know how things go with her

| She's 'big'- probably 9.5lbs. right now. She's acting fine & has this strange habit of eating in between tosses with her ball. I do have some forti-cal, maybe I'll ask the vet about giving it when I get out of work or something. Even if I leave a treat in her enclosure she wont touch it until I get home. This wasn't in there though so it was after I was home & let her out.

| Bile means an empty stomach. Maybe you need to feed her sooner.

| Bella has done this also. She goesout to potty first thing in the morning and when we come back in she gets a treat. In the morning we are heading out to go shopping, and I know she won't eat her normal food so I will give her a few extra treats about an hour to two hours before we leave and she will be fine. Well she should be. When I leave at home by herself in the morning I will give her a few of her treats just so she will have something on her tummy and won't throw up bile. Good luck finding the key to all of it. They are worth it. |

| I completely agree -- I think she's hungry. Tatiana does this if she is not fed breakfast by 9:30a. In the past, I would let her "sleep in," and wait to give her breakfast when she got up. Well, if it was past 9:30a, she would vomit bile, and go back to bed. I didn't like that, so now, I feed her breakfast before 9:30a, and wake her up if I need to, and she could go back to bed afterwards, if she wanted. |
