Where is your dog at night? where do leave your dog at night?.. he used to sleep in the room with me with a leash but he pooed everywhere so no more.. |
My yorkie sleeps in a crate beside the bed. When he was a puppy, I had the door on the crate. I could hear him if he needed to go out. Now he is 2 years old. The door was taken off long ago. If it is a cold night, he uses the crate as a step and jumps up on the bed to snuggle next to me. Often under the covers.:) If he needs to go out, he will wake me with a whine or by standing on me... He will occasionally use a paper pad that I leave in the hallway and one beside the door to go outside. I also take him out first thing in the morning. It takes a long time to train these little ones. Try to be patient and consistant...it will eventually pay off. |
Harry's in a big crate in our bedroom, where he can see and smell us  :D When he was tiny, we shut his door - now it's always open but he doesn't come out - it's his den and he generally sleeps 10-12 hours.... It is hard work at the beginning....where are you sleeping your Littlie now? :) Sally + Harry :aimeeyork x |
All three of mine have their own crate in my bedroom .. |
mine both sleep on my bed...Max has become my alarm clock. Every day between 4:30 and 5:00 he wakes up...If I don't move he come and "hits" me with his paw to say time to go outside now. Then I have to tell Titus its time to get up. He always rolls on his back as if to say...do I have too...They are really snuggly guiys at night |
mine sleeps right next to me she did from the first day I brought her home at 12 weeks has never ever peed or pooped in the bed. Lost my husband 2 years ago and she has been the joy of my love ever since, can't believe how much I love this little gal |
Both my boys sleep in our bed with us. We have their puppy pads in the bedroom, so if they have to go during the night they can :) |
My baby either sleeps in her bed that sits next to mine, in her puppy playpen - also in my room, or in the bed with me. Usually it's a toss-up between my bed and hers. SHe's only in her playpen if she hasn't gone potty and I know she needs to and I'm really tired, sick, sleepy. CoCo's last bathroom break is between 10:30 - 11:30pm. She is sleeping all night. If she sleeps in her bed, she puts her 2 front paws up on the side of my bed and whiles for me to get up. Wish she did this every time she had to potty! |
When Katie Scarlett first came home, she stayed in her 'potty training puppy apartment' thing at night. It is a crate with a little bedroom on one side and a potty pad set up on the other side. Once she had the pottying down, I moved her to a big girl bed right outside her ptpa. Now that she is older and fully potty trained she sleeps either with my husband and I or in her big girl bed in the kitchen. |
all three sleep with me and dh! luckily two of them are 4 and 5 pounds. haha i need to upgrade to a king! then i can have more yorkies....shhhhh dont tell dh thats my plan. hehe. |
Mine sleeps right with me and has from day 3 ( I tried the first two days with crate training) , been in my bed ever since and would not have it any other way. |
2 sleep with us and 1 in his crate...he's not a big guy and my bed is quite high ...don't want him falling off the bed...his crate is beside our bed. |
the girls sleep in their crates,in my bedroom, Harrison sleeps in bed between hubby and I and Relay sleeps in his bed under the bed, sometimes we find him in bed with us too, specially in cold winter days, during the summer even Harrison sleeps in his bed under our bed. .hugs, |
all three of mine 2 yorkies and a cairn sleep in bed with me and dh. we also have pee pads down if they get up during the middle of the night. But they usually wait till morning. we also have steps for them to use to get up and down so no jumping :) |
Gabby is in the bed. I tried to crate train her. Dh is the one that couldn't last through the second night of whining in the crate and put her in the bed. She's been in the bed ever since and has taken a spot right above my head. We have to stack a few pillows up for her or she won't lay down. If she gets cold in the night, she'll come down off her pedestal and curl up next to dh. |
Ben sleeps right beside me and hogs my pillow. lol |
Ours are in bed with us they wouldnt have it any other way and neither would we |
I leave them right where they lay down, which is in my bed of course! Then I try to squeeze in around the little blanket stealers. Getting them to move over is like trying to move lead balloons. They can't have my woobie pillow though! Some things are just too sacred, even for my Yorkies! :) :dogzzz: |
Ive got mine in the bed with me too |
I would suggest a crate. When Callie was a puppy she slept in a crate and when she was potty trained she slept on a dog bed but I thought that was to cold for her (I like my room kinda chilly) so I bought a soft sided dog house so she would sleep in that and the fan wouldn't blow on her but ever sense her surgery on her ACL and LP she has been sleeping in a soft sided crate about 2 feet from my bed, I am just terrified she is gonna not use the stairs to my bed and jump (its pretty high) and the other ACL will tear. Her crate is nice and comfy she has a comfy bed in there and a very soft fleece baby blanket and a doggy heating thing under the blanket heck sometimes I would rather sleep in her crate :D |
Bailey sleeps in our room in his crate. I think I am one of the lucky ones cause as soon as I brought him home he took right to the puppy pads he was very easy to train. |
My two sleep in bed with us. Couver is usually at my chest and Khloe is usually between my legs. They love their people :) |
Ladybug started off sleeping with us when we got her at 9 weeks old. That lasted about 3-4 days and then crate training started. It went smooth. Once she got out of her mischievious stage we started leaving the crate door open at night. She likes to lay under my office chair on a rug in the familyroom in the evening while I work so now for the past 2 months that's where she chooses to sleep all night. |
Louie sleeps with me and my dh, or sometimes he sleeps with our daughter, pretty much sleeps where ever he feels like it. |
My little Ziggy is in my bed with me! has been since i got him. He is just too cute, and snuggles, and gives "goodnight mommy" kisses. And i love how he stretches when he changes positions, or how he graons and moves away to the other side the bed if im fussing over him too much.. then comes back when he misses mommy:) Thats where my baby is. And i love it |
Georgie sleeps right in between his Daddy and I. The first night he wasn't interested in his crate and almost 7 years later I can't imagine not having him comfy and cozy with us:D |
Belle sleeps in bed with me, either on my pillow or curled up against my side. She makes sure she has her favorite green loofa dog with her when we go to bed, too. :) |

Our two sleep in our King bed. They have their own steps and are good sleepers! |
Max sleeps in the bed and sleeps in pretty late although it takes about 10 minutes for him to find his comfy spot. Lately he has been wanting to all the way under the blanket and I worry that he is\'t getting enough oxygen. Anyway, I leave for work at 6:30 and he stays in bed with my hubby until 8 or 9!!! The boys definitely rule the roost around here! |
