I HAVE to say something here!!! I am one of those crazy old lady breeders that does NOT sell to families with children under 6 years of age and will save the larger babies in my litters for the families with older children. I had one little lady that has taken the blue ribbon for a young girl owner...she was 12 years old, and I had interviewed her father. Set up a meeting with him and his daughter......the pup was for his daughter. They arrived, and that little lady sat down with a notebook with questions she had compiled to ask ME! She had been researching Yorkies for almost a year and she felt she was now prepared to go forward with her selection! She and I talked at length and answered each other questions, and when we both were satisfied with each other, (actually she had me when she walked in with her sequened Yorkie T-shirt and notebook) I had two males that were on the large end of standard size, just perfect for this well informed little girl. I brought the puppy out and handed him to her.....her eyes absolutely lit up and a warm smile fell across her lips. Her daddy asked her how she felt about him, and she calmy, softly said, OOOHHHHH Daddy! I LOVE HIM!!!..Two weeks later they came back to pick their baby up, and these two have become inseparable! Wonderful, wonderful home for a special, precious 8# baby boy! And that precious little girl!!! One in a million!!! |
