One of my Yorkies hoards the bully sticks and I just thought it was an odd quirk that no other dog did.
I am so happy to hear that another dog hoards something.

Lol! That is too funny and so cute! Katie Scarlett will pile up socks when she gets the chance but we keep a close eye on our socks now that we know she's a thief!

Brody rounds up all his toys...which includes all of Mia's toys and anything else he 'Knights' as a toy...such as the scrunchies he's just pulled out of Mia's or his top knots. lol He has two groups...the 'bed toy box' and the 'love seat toy box'...and he retrieves any 'fallen' toys to their 'proper' location...he 'counts' them and rounds them up into a group. He also searches crinkly bags for new toys or toys 'hidden' by Mommy or Daddy. lol Mia hops pops and 'digs' and pushes and pulls rugs, covers, pillows, etc. over stuff to 'hide' it. Also, I had to put a crystal and pewter collector chess set in a cabinet years ago. Chess pieces were just 'disappearing' into thin air. I eventually saw a kitty nonchalantly pick up a chess piece off the board, jump down off the coffee table, and walk into the computer room carrying the piece in his mouth, where he dropped it into DH's leather computer case. When I looked into the case, I found all of the missing chess pieces. I guess he was starting his own collector chess set! lol

My new boy is a hoarder, too! He collects socks, washcloths, his rope toy, and his squeaky bone. Thank goodness he's not a chewer. I had a mini dachshund many years ago that would chew the "middle" out of any underwear she could drag out of the hamper. Dex just wants his little pile of stuff.

My sister has a mini dachshund that I swear has OCD, she will obsess over random things, if you open a cupboard or a store bag she just has to know whats in it. She is a funny little thing

Little Beau runs under my bed with everything! I found half a grapefruit rind under there the last time I vacuumed!!!!

Beau only weighs four pounds but he can knock over my trashcans (plastic) and gets all sorts of stuff for his loot pile!....he also got into my purse and thoroughly chewed up a $20.00 !!!!!

Miles does hoard / herd his toys and you cannot touch them as they are his alone. Even if he hasn't touched it in weeks doesn't matter. I did see him hide his beefy braid once. I say, 'Miles, Mommy bought these things for YOU, she's not going to take them back!!' lol.

He is not allowed to touch Mommy's things though. Might not be safe and I don't want it destroyed. He's pretty good though as he has so many of his own things and is so focused on Mommy anyway. He does like to get at my socks when I go into my bedroom or office but I quickly take them away from him or ask him to drop it. Won't be cute anymore if he ruins something.
