| ![]() I thought when you said picked them up you meant how he came to have the puppies. I didn't watch the video. But the last post makes me think it was how he lifted them into the air - is that right? Did he lift them by the scruff of the neck?!?!?!

| ![]() Yes that is how the doggie parents do it. I guess I'm just not used to it being done by the owners. I have never, ever had to do this with any of mine that I had as puppy. ( which was only 3 of them). Maybe I'm a prude concerning this?

| ![]() I totally disagree with humans big hands trying to approximate a mother's row of teeth in picking up a small puppy this way - it's totally two different things. And unless they are very small, lightweight puppies, picking a dog up by just its skin can injure or hurt it.

| ![]() I saw her before too. Her name is Georgia Peaches and she took over the pack. She was running and playing with Cesar and the BIG dogs! So cute!

| ![]() I didn't like the way he picked them up, either... and personally the dog looked terrified, but maybe that's just me.

| ![]() I thought the little guy looked very uncomfortable. It will be interesting to see how this new addition fits into his pack. Although I have 5 and have always had dogs, most of them small,I purchased one of his books on training. I did pick up a couple of ideas on traing but he and I do NOT see dogs the same way. I dont have cable so I dont get to see his show. |

| ![]() Whew!!! Thank goodness I was not the only one shocked over the way he picked up the puppies. I do love Cesar and enjoy watching his show, he seems like a good person.

| ![]() I like Cesar, I think he's done a lot of good for dogs. And I used to practically worship him and his show, LOL. But now, I see it and cringe and think of what I'd do differently. Although I will say that his more recent shows do use more of a positive approach than ever before.

And I also think it's caused more harm by ppl seeing all of his pitties or pit bull-like dogs living peacefully together, and thinking ALL dogs have to love other dogs. Pits, a lot of times (not all the time) are dog aggressive. It's a well known breed trait and anybody getting into owning a Pit should realize it. And I think so many now think their dog is being "dominant" or whatever if they don't like other dogs and that's simply not the case.

| ![]() Dog aggression is NOT a breed trait on pits. They are terriers just like our Uorkies, they have a strong chase prey drive. Pits like our Uorkies also have the general terrier trait of pack defensiveness...it is this that is often confused with dog agression because they are more likely to attack a smaller dog via prey drive or in being territorial over their home or person. With the exception of the white or blue noses they have been too inbred and have a chromosonal defect that causes many neurological issues agression being one of them. Personally I prefer Victoria but Cesar is a pretty decent trainer with a behaviorists mentality IMHO
