| Car sickness We had taken Happy for a drive of about 1 hr (2 hrs in total). On the way to the destination, Happy puked thrice. He was sitting in a mess of his puke. Finally we found a rest area and had to clean him up. But we had taken some precautions on not to feed him anything for around an hr in prior to departing. We don't know what to do.. We had taken him to Petsmart which is about 15 mins drive and he was fine all the way. But today, he was really sick. Please advice.. |

| Our yorkie-poo always seems to get car sick. He is 9 months old now and any car ride over 30 minutes he will usually throw up. I think it is pretty common for smaller dogs to experience car sickness. What seems to help is if you roll down the windows and try to get your dog to look out. A combination of fresh air and just observing the outdoors seems to work. But it is probably a good idea to not give your dog any food a few hours prior to travelling. |

| car sick My female puppy Cleo gets car sick. She even got sick on Tuesday when I took her to be spayed. I thought she would not this time since she had no food or water in her system. Wrong - she threw up water like stuff twice. I always drive with paper towels and exra blankets to cover up the puke and try to keep her clean. On the way home from her spay, she did not throw up. I wonder if her uterus was making her sick!!! LOL The vet said she would out grow it, so I am still waiting. |

| I'm so sorry you all get carsick puppies...Luma is 15 weeks old and she LOVES the car, has never gotten sick. She is either enjoying the breeze or she falls asleep. Maybe a teeny bit of Pepto before you get in the car would help..? I'm sorry, not sure what else to suggest. Hopefully someone else will be more helpful.
