| Ears again! My Yorkie is 13 weeks old - his ears have been going up and down as expected. As of yesterday, he has one ear trying to stand up (but going more sideways) and the other still floppy. He has "huge ears" -- but I was pleasantly surprised tonight. I cut the hair off around the edges of his ears (no on the ears), and believe it or not, his ears are actually somewhat smaller than they looked. So, obviously the hair sticking out all around the sides of his ears made his ears look even bigger than they are. So maybe there is hope.....and he won't end up looking like ears with a little dog attached. He'll finish his shots soon and I am going to have the groomer shave the hair off the upper part of his ears, inside and outside. If they don't go up, I'll tape them. Hope I don't have to work too hard on this. He hates it. I'm open for any further advise or something I should be doing. Wish me luck! Carol Jean |

So, obviously the hair sticking out all around the sides of his ears made his ears look even bigger than they are. i think that is so cute. I posted a picture of Ceeby on here with his new sweater on and my hubby thought he looked awful. His ears looked so big, it kind of made him look like a half breed. Once that ear leather is trimmed, we have cute little yorkie ears again. He flopped his ears down on the side of his head for the first time yesterday and I was surprised at how cute he was but they instantly went back up. he was so excited to see mee after I had been gone for awhile. I have seen him run with his ears laid back like a rabbit but never flopped down. You all that have seen my postings know how much I love the erect ears but i do have to say he was so cute yesterday. |
