Did you ever eat a dog product
 

Well I did twice in the last month:eek:, by accident of course:D

I was keeping Lola's tooth paste which is liver flavored in the same drawer I kept mine, well you guessed it, one groggy morning, I grabbed the wrong tooth paste, yuck definitely not minty fresh:D (she gets her bath in the shower with me, so I do her teeth in there as well) Needless to say the pet toothpaste has a new home.

One of my favorite snacks are honey wheat pretzel sticks. One afternoon I was busy reading and munching on them, I put a few on the end table next to the chair I was sitting on. Engrossed in the book and without even looking up I reached for a pretzel stick and started to chomp on it when I realized wow this is sort of hard and weird tasting. It took me a moment but when I looked at it closely I realized it was a chewed up bully stick:eek::eek: I had completely forgotten that I had taken it away from Lola about a week earlier since it was getting to small to be safe. Hard to believe my luck but the bully stick and the honey wheat pretzel stick were about the same length and diameter. I bet for those of you that like those pretzels you will never look at them the same again:p:p

Yep I had to! The dog store I worked at had treats for dogs that humans could eat and a client wouldn't believe and was going to make a big purchase and she was like I wont buy unless you eat a whole dog treat from the bakery. And my boss/owner made me!! It wasn't to bad. Just a blan cookie haha. I was like now I get why Ralph wants my cookies they actually taste like something!

The only dog product I have ever eaten was as a child. I tried dried dog kibble as a kid and never tried it again :p I know my husband when he was younger ate some yummy looking dog treats that his mom had on the counter.

I've tried Fruitables.

At petco they have a dog bar for dog treats. They have a cookie that looks like cookie my son eat like 4 of those before I realize what he was eating. My son is 4 and said that they where good.

They smell so good but the furthest I have gone is to take deep whiffs of the treat just. :rolleyes:

You should try one!

I tasted Healthy GOO - and it's actually pretty good :D! Which makes sense, since it's peanut butter based and humans can take it too. The inventor told me his daughter takes it every day for her own allergies, so then I didn't feel so bad. I bet it'd be really good w/ grape jelly. Hmmmm....

never heard of that treat, guess I should try that one, at least it sounds like it would taste better than a bully stick:D

HAHHAHA!! I don't know why but I just cracked up. I can picture you smearing a little Goo for Wylie and Marcel and a little Goo for you....Do the boys get the jelly too?

Too funny. One time I was giving the pups chicken chips and accidentally put one back but right into the cookie jar and my dad ate it..lol

It was so surprising. He said it wasn't to bad.

By the way...nice bed!! Looks like my babies..lol =)

Not me... but family. When my daughter was about 14 they dared my nephew who was 12 to eat dog food and he did.... crazy kid.

There have been times when young kids (1-2yr old) have been here and gotten into the dog food. Just eating it like nothing was wrong.. It's like what are you eating ? Mmmmm Yummy and Oh NO....are you kidding me !! Than off they go back for seconds. I finally had to take the dog food up.

I have tasted Three Dog Bakery cookies. They are packaged and look exactly like oreos. I'm not going to lie. They are delicious.:p

We used to make our own dog cookies with peanutbutter. My oldest daughter used to take them to dance for a carb fix when they had a show coming up.
My 16yr old says that the BB cinnamon dog cookies are pretty good.
I've even eaten the ones that we make.

I've tried fruitables too. Tasted like an oatmeal cookie. Whichs isn't good since I hate oatmeal cookies. I've also tried Lotus (baked chicken kibble). Kaji wouldn't eat, so I tried it and it got him eating. :) yeah, I'm weird.

I feel for you. I hate having to kiss a** for the sake of money. I've had to do that plenty before and I am done!

I always see flies and bugs on the Petco treat bar. I never buy any of those. I asked a Petco clerk before if kids ever ate any of the cookies, and they say all the time. :rolleyes:

So for my stories, BIL gave his friend Pupperoni and told him it was an Asian beef jerky. Then one time I was doing really great during a pinball game and bf gave me something and I ate it, it was Uni's kibble! Fish flavor! Yuck! I had to stop and rinse out my mouth!

Ive tried yogurt drops.. They were okay kinda tasteless

It was easy. We told him everyone was doing it! I don't think Rick would appreciate us talking about his fruitable experience. ;)

MELLOW MUT® <---probably the best and healthiest I've ever had (most likely cleanest too!) but seriously I'm not that into chamomile flavored jerky...although I did feel relaxed after...LoL.

When i buy a new dog kibble for my dogs i always taste one.
I want to know that it taste good for my babies...

I tried the Peanut butter ones...and so did DS...they are really good. Better than most human cookies:D When DS was between 4-6 years old I had to hid the kibble he would eat it all the time:eek:

I confess. I tasted Bella toothpaste, Mint and vanilla. At least if I mistakenly used it, it wouldn't be liver or meat flavor. I did taste her Holistic dog food. Not bad but bland. LOL Wow we are CRAZY!!!!

:DThis cracks me up because it makes me think of the stuff dogs like to lick, sniff, and eat. So I have to imagine their taste buds are a bit differnt than ours:D:D

So aside from kids, most of you that have eaten a dog product did it on purpose:eek: yes we are a crazy bunch:D

I tasted the peanut butter kong paste...hey, I like peanut butter!! :rolleyes:

it was just a REALLY plain peanut flavor, not sweetened at all. :D

My dad always tastes dog stuff sometimes he says its actualy pretty good. I personally wont do it, am careful not to and never have. When we go to pet expos my dad makes people laugh and some freak out because Callie and Sammy don't really take treats in that environment so he tastes the treats. We walked past this one booth and the guy goes would you like to try our treat and my dad said sure and took it and popped it in his mouth and the guy laughed and my dad was like well you said did I want to try it.

So far I have totally avoided doing this on purpose or by accident, and I really hope it never happens.
Sorry, all I can think of is PBBBt. spit out! yuk! arrghh. I just can't do it.

When I was a big Browns Fan, not anymore, We would always have bowls of Milk Bone dog bones on the coffee table and every time the Browns scored a touch down we had to take a huge bite of one. It wasnt so awfully bad lol
