I had to try Petz Life the dental spay. I wanted to see if it had much alcohol in it. Darn, it doesn’t! Also, I accidently ate some of Joey’s kibble. I give him 10 pieces before bedtime and one night I placed his in a small bow and give me a small bowl of almonds. I thought we’d have a snack in bed, and I accidently ate some kibble. It tasted like broth that I’d boiled a soup bone in for hours, that’s the only flavor I noted. Not sure why Joey loves it so much. It smells a lot better than it tastes and since dogs don't really have many taste buds, they go more by smell, I guess that why he loves it. |

Not exactly on topic, but when I was a kid my younger cousin stayed with us a lot. Her being 3 years younger I thought she was a pest and I made her eat dry kibble once. That was just one of the many horrible things I did to her:embarasse |
When I was a kid they made doggie donuts...don't remember the brand. They were just okay:) |
Years ago in Macy's, they had a ceramic dog dish with doggie cookies in it that looked like people cookies. It was ridiculously overpriced, but it was for Sammy, so I got it. Well the cookies looked and smelled so good that I tried a piece and it tasted just like a people cookie. It was really good. When my younger son was small he had a 101 Dalmations cereal bowl. Then he outgrew it so I would feed Sammy out of it. One day my husband took the bowl and ate cereal out of it. My sons and I were laughing so hard. When my husband finished we told him that he had just eaten out of Sammy's dish. He was like - why didn't you tell me? We told him we wanted to see if he would start barking after eating from the dog's dish. He didn't find it as funny as we did. |
I've tried a tiny bite of the boys' birthday cakes. The look and smell so good, but don't taste like much of anything. Oh, and Fruitables aren't that good, but they smell good! I do love the Grandma Lucy's organic blueberry oven baked dog treats. They are soooooo good :) They taste like animal crackers and teddy grahams! |

I had to in high school. Dog food and cat food, soft and dry. It was part of an animal science class about pet foods. They all tasted pretty bland! I totally get why pets want people food. |

I personally have never tried any of my dog's stuff. However, I have a 14 year old son who does everything he can to trick his friends into doing it! :D:rolleyes:;) He has been successful more than once! :D:D |
I love this thread!! When I was about 8, I ate one of my pom's Milk Bones...tasted like Grape Nuts. By accident, a few years ago, I used Prince's CET chicken flavor toothpaste... it doesn't taste like chicken. One night my hubby accidently ate a few of Ian's kibbles, thinking they were peanuts; he was very tired that night and picked up the wrong bowl. He must have brushed his teeth for 30 minutes after that!! |
I've tried Princess's sweet potato treats-they're 100% sweet potato so they didn't taste bad, but they're stickier than a fruit roll up. And I will admit, I remember my mom talking to my dad on the phone one night when I was about 2-3y.o.. He was working & asked what I was doing I guess. All I know is she said "she thinks she's being sneaky eating dog food". I bet I blushed:eek: & thought I was in BIG trouble!:p But it was Kibbles 'n Bits & I thought it was so good!;) Now if I smell it it even reminds me of my childhood, and as curious as I am to see if they are good, I wont try!:P |
