Our Little Camper Guy....... Hey! What a great forum to come back to! Lots of new members and babies to ooh and aaah over! WELCOME TO ONE AND ALL! We've been off camping for a week. First for a couple of days at a fancy RV park with all the hookups in New Hampshire while we visited with friends from Florida camping in their Casita there. And then on to a quiet state park in Vermont for five days. Don came down with a cold on the first day of camping so we stayed around the campsite and just ate and slept and played with the dogs. Higgins had a BALL!!! But, for the first time, he balked at coming when called and generally took off in the opposite direction. We are now going to look into some serious re-training here.........Both dogs were really good on our long drive home and were ecstatic to be able to bound out of the car and race around their own yard. We'll wash some clothes, mow the lawn, re-stock the camper and be off soon again.....In the meantime, it's great to read all the new stuff!!!! Hugs and puppy kisses all round the room! Mary Ellen

Welcome back! Glad you guys had a ball, yeah, them Yorkies can be stubborn. Yoda sometimes just absolutely refuses to 'come' when we call him! I think he gets it from his Momma. :P

welcome back Higgins mom `Well....I see that Higgins has adopted Max's view of the come command. I have been walking Max each evening at the park...we are in the middle of a political campaign and I need a de-stressor activity...However I end up carrying him in his backpack because he wants to sniff, mark and explore everything. In addition, I don't get far when another walker wants to pet and talk to Max. So it isn't really turning into an aerobic effort He is doing a little better since I shortened his leash.....I may try that on my husband, the politician! Hope everybody is having a great summer...haven't had much time to post lately. Will catch up in a few weeks. Max's MOM
